Center for Visual Arts
Sioux Falls, SD
This was a piece created for the atrium of the campus’ Center for Visual Arts building. Angular and sharp, the knife-like shape dissipated into something flowing and natural once disturbed. Viewers were invited to pass through the work, its harmless tendrils cool to the touch, greeted with a serene stillness when standing in the center. Assumptions and impressions were shattered once interacted with, the nebulous material passing as something imposing.
Passing was moved to the atrium of the Edith Mortenson Performing Arts Center in May, 2017, where it is currently on display.
